Safe Mode is a built-in feature that disables programs and drivers during startup. This separates system errors and repairs them without applications interfering.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>3 Ways to Boot into Windows 10 Safe Mode:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h3><strong>System Configuration<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Use the Cortana search bar to get to System Configuration:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Type either <strong>system configuration<\/strong> or <strong>msconfig<\/strong><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Hit enter to open the panel for System Configuration<\/li>\n<li><strong>Click the &#8220;Boot&#8221;<\/strong> tab and check <strong>Safe Boot<\/strong> box<\/li>\n<li>Under Safe Boot, there are more options you can choose from. Choose <strong>Minimal<\/strong> click <strong>Apply<\/strong> then click <strong>OK<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Restart your computer and it will boot into Safe Mode. During startup, the Safe Mode selections will come up. Go to the Settings menu, then over to\u00a0<\/span><strong>Update &amp; Security &gt; Recovery &gt; Advanced Startup<\/strong><span data-offset-key=\"f3fac-0-2\">. Clicking <\/span><span data-offset-key=\"f3fac-0-3\">Restart Now <\/span><span data-offset-key=\"f3fac-0-4\">will restart your computer in recovery mode. Doing this will bring you to three options: <\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<ul class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-ul\" data-offset-key=\"c947o-0-0\">\n<li class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-unorderedListItem public-DraftStyleDefault-reset public-DraftStyleDefault-depth0 public-DraftStyleDefault-listLTR\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"fovae\" data-offset-key=\"c947o-0-0\">\n<div class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-block public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\" data-offset-key=\"c947o-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"c947o-0-0\">Troubleshoot<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-unorderedListItem public-DraftStyleDefault-depth0 public-DraftStyleDefault-listLTR\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"fovae\" data-offset-key=\"50a7l-0-0\">\n<div class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-block public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\" data-offset-key=\"50a7l-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"50a7l-0-0\">Continue<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-unorderedListItem public-DraftStyleDefault-depth0 public-DraftStyleDefault-listLTR\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"fovae\" data-offset-key=\"egf91-0-0\">\n<div class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-block public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\" data-offset-key=\"egf91-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"egf91-0-0\">Turn off your PC<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"fovae\" data-offset-key=\"ecjml-0-0\">\n<div class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-block public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\" data-offset-key=\"ecjml-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"ecjml-0-0\">Choose <strong>Troubleshoot &gt; Advanced Options<\/strong><\/span><span data-offset-key=\"ecjml-0-1\">. You will now get several more options. Click Startup Settings then Restart. Your computer now will restart. You will see the Startup Settings screen when rebooting. This is where you choose the function required.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"fovae\" data-offset-key=\"dipab-0-0\"><\/div>\n<h3><strong>Shortcut<\/strong><\/h3>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"fovae\" data-offset-key=\"9rpf6-0-0\">\n<div class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-block public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\" data-offset-key=\"9rpf6-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"9rpf6-0-0\">Go to the start menu and click on the power icon. Hold down the <\/span><strong>Shift key<\/strong><span data-offset-key=\"9rpf6-0-2\"> and hit\u00a0<\/span><strong>Restart<\/strong><span data-offset-key=\"9rpf6-0-4\">. This reboot option brings you <\/span><span class=\"adverb\"><span data-offset-key=\"9rpf6-1-0\">directly<\/span><\/span><span data-offset-key=\"9rpf6-2-0\"> to Recovery\u00a0options. When the screen pops up, choose the<\/span><span data-offset-key=\"71ekv-0-1\">\u00a0<strong>repair option &gt; troubleshooting &gt;\u00a0advanced options<\/strong><\/span><span data-offset-key=\"71ekv-0-2\">.
