First verify that you do have a good internet connection. You can check by hovering your mouse over the network icon in your system tray (bottom right-hand corner of your desktop). This should show you what network you are connected to and the connection status of the network. Some common causes of the error include virus infection, incorrect settings, or multiple anti-virus software. Make sure you are not running multiple anti viruses because they may conflict with each other and\u00a0 prevent Internet Explorer from working correctly. Temporarily disable your anti-virus for diagnostic purposes and check to see if your browser is working properly. If you are unable to open Internet Explorer, you can access the internet options page through these steps:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Go to\u00a0<strong>Start\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Control panel\u00a0<\/strong>(Needs to be in classic view)<\/li>\n<li>Select\u00a0<strong>Internet Options<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Clear Cookies and Delete History<\/h3>\n<p>The fastest option is to\u00a0<strong>clear cookies\u00a0<\/strong>and<strong>\u00a0delete history<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Go to\u00a0<strong>Tools<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Select\u00a0<strong>internet options<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>(Under browsing history) Click\u00a0<strong>Delete<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>From here select\u00a0<strong>Temporary internet files, Cookies and History<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Click<strong>\u00a0delete<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Now check Internet Explorer by trying to pull up a web page.<\/p>\n<h3>Check Proxy Server Setting<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Go to\u00a0<strong>Tools<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Internet options<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Connections Tab<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Click\u00a0<strong>LAN Settings<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>(Under Proxy Server Area) ensure the\u00a0<strong>Use a proxy server<\/strong>\u00a0option is\u00a0<strong>unchecked<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Click\u00a0<strong>OK<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Click\u00a0<strong>OK<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Check again to see if that has resolved the issue. The next option is to be used if you have exhausted all other options and still can\u2019t load a website. This option will erase any saved passwords and accounts that your computer may normally remember for you. If you do have to use this option you need to make sure you know or have all your log-in information written down. Any add-ons you use will be disabled as well as any personal settings you may have configured.<\/p>\n<h3>Reset Internet Explorer to Default Settings<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Go to\u00a0<strong>Tools\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Internet Options\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Select\u00a0<strong>Advanced\u00a0<\/strong>Tab<\/li>\n<li>Go to the bottom and click\u00a0<strong>Reset<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Select\u00a0<strong>Delete Personal Settings\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Click\u00a0<strong>Close<\/strong>\u00a0( Now you will need to restart your browser)<\/li>\n<li>Click\u00a0<strong>OK<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Try to verify functionality of the browser.
