How To Create An Email Signature In Outlook 2010

outlook 2010 email signture

Outlook Email Signature

A Signature is exactly what the name implies. It’s like signing your email. Like signing your name , everyone’

s signature is unique.  The email signature can include more than just text. You can place pictures, hyperlinks, and company logos in your signature for a  more professional look. You can also save a lot of time, if you email often, by creating a signature. Outlook will automatically place it at the bottom of your emails depending on the settings you setup. Your signature is how you leave your mark on an email, so make it work for you. For your personal emails you can add a little flair to it but for professional emails a company logo, name, and contact information on it is a great standard signature.

Go to File

Select Options

Click Mail

Select Signature

Select New

Create a name for the signature click OK

Now in the bottom box create the custom signature you want. The top right has settings that you apply to each signature you make. The first drop down menu is which email account the signature is associated. The Second drop down menu is refers whether you want the selected signature to appear in new messages. The Finial drop down menu applies to replies. How these are setup is up to you. If you would like your signature on new messages and not on replies then set these options accordingly. To finish click OK and then OK again and your signature will show up on the next email you have set it up for.
